Inspired by the Stevie Wonder song, three figures work their way up to a Higher Ground, the everyday effort to reach a better place mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. Guitar strings run through the piece the way the bassline runs through the song, felt more than seen, holding everything together. It is about choosing the harder path when it matters, and trusting that it leads somewhere better.
